Low Energy Homes

A 1930s detached house was demolished and a pair of low energy semi-detached houses constructed to Passivhaus Low Energy standard.

The houses have super insulated walls, floors and roof, and the windows are triple glazed. Care was taken to make the houses as air-tight as possible. Fresh air is obtained via a mechanical heating and ventilation system that includes a heat exchanger to recycle warm air.

On all projects, regardless of scale Guy is happy to explore the opportunities for thermal upgrading and energy conservation.
